yep.
yeah sure.
Alright, so guys, guess what... I left my phone in Mark's car so I'm phone less and I will be phone less for the next 2.5 days because I'm only seeing him then. Plus I'm going overseas so I can't communicate to my friends in my country D: Some of you might be like, "Meh, I don't need my phone anyway." OR "Oh no! The horror D:" As you all know I don't have twitter/instagram anymore so I don't spend much time on my phone. To be honest, I don't mind having my phone, not like I use it much any way :b Most of the time I use my phone for whatsapp, snapchat and to play Plants VS Zombies 2 hehe. That's about it. It might seem a lot but when I have no one to talk to, I either play PvsZ 2 or just leave my phone alone and read. I'm not sure how I'll do without my phone for the next 2.5 days but, we'll see. I usually use it as a distraction or when I have nothing to do. I guess we'll see what I'll be doing now when I don't have my phone as a distraction. Hehe.
I'm not sure whether you guys notice this but when you go out to eat and all I realise many people use their phones at the table and when the food comes, they'll put it away, eat and when they are done, use their phone and wait to leave. If you haven't, seriously take a good look around you. There was once when I was in a restaurant, this whole family all had their phones out and they were just staring down at the crotch (where their phones are placed). Sometimes, even some couples. You're out on a date or whatever, speak to each other! Why would you want to speak to anyone else when your lover is sitting right in front of you! You guys are on a date to spend time with each other, not spend time on your phone! Of course I have used my phone at the table before but I always try to tell myself to stop the habit. It's bad that it has become a habit to automatically take out your phone while waiting for the food, I'll feel horrible. Once I realise I'm using my phone, I quickly put it away.
I'm not trying to give some sort of lecture or what but I'm just trying to create awareness about it. Personally, I think it's rude to be staring down at the screen during meal times even though I do do it at times. (Trust me I feel guilty after that) Also, use the time to actually talk to the people at the table. Some of you will think it's totally fine to use the phone but that's because it has already become a habit for you, which is worse! There's this saying going around that people nowadays are losing their communication skills or do not know how to communicate because we're always taking the easy way out of things. We just text/email each other instead.
To me, it's just really saddening to see a family or a group of people constantly looking down at their phone and not talking at a table. I'm really trying to stop that habit of mine as well. Seriously guys, look around you when you go to a restaurant, you'll be amaze how engrossed people are with their phones. I'm really sorry if you guys think I'm lecturing you but I'm not D: I just think it's becoming a really big issue seeing everyone glued to their phones like that and not actually talking:/ I hope you guys can see the problem here and do something about it. It's good for you and everyone else around you :)
Take care everyone! Have a great weekend, thank you for reading :)
Love Rachel*
